Drew Bledsoe taunts Tom Brady with anniversary jab at Netflix roast

Drew Bledsoe continued the Tom Brady pile-on Sunday over the quarterback’s highly publicized divorce from Gisele Bündchen in 2022.

When appearing on Netflix’s “Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady,” the ex-Patriots quarterback — who lost the QB1 role to Brady after suffering a serious injury in a game against the Jets in 2001 — mocked his one-time protégé over his late-round draft status and the fallout of his split from the Brazilian supermodel.

“Hey look, buddy, you have more rings than I do, but I’ve experienced a couple of things that you will never experience: the feeling of being the No. 1 overall draft pick in the NFL, and a 28th wedding anniversary. It was yesterday,” Bledsoe told Brady as the venue erupted with laughter.

Bledsoe married wife Maura in 1996, three years after the Patriots selected him first overall in the 1993 NFL Draft.

Brady, 46, and Bündchen, 43, tied the knot in 2009 and later became parents to son Benjamin, 14, and daughter Vivian, 11.

The now-former couple announced in October 2022 they had finalized their divorce after 13 years of marriage.

Bündchen has since moved on with her jiu-jitsu instructor, Joaquim Valente, another topic Brady was mercilessly subjected to during the roast.

Before the jokes started flying on the main stage, former Patriots coach Bill Belichick opened the festivities by mimicking his fateful decision decades ago to move forward with Brady over Bledsoe.

“It’s great seeing you again. This is a big night. The fans want you, everyone wants you. But it’s not your night. Sorry, Drew,” Belichick said to Bledsoe backstage before telling Brady, “You’re in, let’s go.”

Warning: Explicit language

Bledsoe bluntly replied: “Are you f–king kidding me? Again?”

The now-52-year-old Bledsoe was infamously knocked out of a Sept. 23, 2001 game against the Jets by linebacker Mo Lewis, paving the way for Brady, a sixth-round pick (No. 199 overall) out of Michigan in 2000, to take over.

Bledsoe was eventually traded to the Bills in 2002 and finished his career with the Cowboys in 2006. He retired in 2007.

Brady played for the Patriots for 20 seasons and won six Super Bowl titles alongside Belichick.

He took his talents to Tampa Bay in 2020 and won his seventh championship in 2021.

Brady officially called it a career in 2023.
