In 2024, Andrade made his big return to WWE following his stint in AEW. Fans were excited to see him as a surprise entry in the men’s Royal Rumble match. He even recently competed at WrestleMania 40 and teamed with Rey Mysterio to take on Santos Escobar and Dominik Mysterio. In the end, Mysterio and Andrade were victorious. However, Charlotte Flair has been absent from WWE due to injury. It is unfortunate that right when Andrade returned, Flair got hurt. However, maybe fans will one day get to see the two on-screen together.

Moreover, Flair stated during an interview with TV Guide that she had wanted to work with Andrade onscreen, much like many other WWE power couples, and even had pitched an idea for a storyline. She said:

“I’ve actually pitched that. I would be very much open to that. I’ve done a lot in my career, but nobody has seen me in an on-cam relationship, or in that light. I can come across cold on TV.” Finally, Andrade has also revealed that Flair has been helping him with his promo work.


The relationship between Charlotte and Andrade quickly moved to its next phase at the end of the year when Andrade announced that he had proposed to the multi-time World champion and the duo were soon to get married in 2020. However, their plans were derailed due to the onset of the pandemic.

Two years later, when Charlotte Flair dropped her SmackDown Women’s Championship to Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania Backlash, as she was written off television programming to take time off to get married to Andrade. The couple exchanged vows on May 27, 2022, in a lavish wedding that took place in Hacienda Mi Ranchito in Torreón, Mexico, Andrade’s hometown, in front of 160 people.

The successful union of these two generational talents is a genuine example that love indeed has no language and the bond between two individuals is what brings them together to spend the rest of their lives in a happy and healthy marriage.
