Carlow Nationalist — Tools and a car stolen from estate

CARLOW gardaí are investigating the theft of carpentry tools from a van in the Chapelstown Gate estate, Tullow Road, Carlow. The theft occurred on Monday night, 29 April, between 9.25pm and 10pm.

The lock on the rear door of the van was interfered with and gardaí are waiting for a full inventory of the tools stolen.

CCTV in the area picked up a silver-coloured car coming and going from the property at the relevant time.

Carlow gardaí are anxious to hear from any witnesses or from anyone who may have CCTV, doorbell cam or dashcam footage in the area to contact them on 059 9136620.

Gardaí are also investigating the unauthorised taking of a grey-coloured Skoda Octavia, partial registration number 08 C, from a garage in the Clogrennane area of Carlow. They believe that the theft occurred between 12.20pm and 12.40pm on Sunday 28 April.

CCTV in the area captured two men in dark clothing coming across a field to the rear of the premises. They entered the premises and were observed taking the car before driving away. The vehicle is still missing.

Carlow gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 059 9136620.
