WINDOWS were smashed and a car was damaged at a local GAA club in the early hours of this morning.
The upsetting incident happened at Graiguecullen GAA grounds, where the committee is seeking witnesses or anyone with information that could help identify those responsible.
A number of windows in the clubhouse were broken, while window glass was also smashed in a car parked outside. The criminal damage has been reported to gardaí.
The ugly vandalism happened sometime between 1am and 6am on bank holiday Monday, 6 May.
Posting pictures (above and below) on its Facebook page today, the club said: “If anyone has seen any activity or persons in the grounds and clubhouse of Graiguecullen GAA in the early hours of Sunday 5th/Monday morning the 6th between 1am and 6am, please contact Carlow Garda station on +353 59 9136620 to help with investigations.”
As they count the cost of the damage, the club added: “We appreciate your help and support at this time.”
