A GOFUNDME page has been set up to raise money to support the family of a teenage girl who died instantly in a crash in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Molly Dempsey (15) died when the car she was travelling in, close to her home in Baltinglass, Co Wicklow, crashed at 5am on Sunday.
Molly was the youngest of nine children of Nigel Dempsey and Mary Fox and was the granddaughter of Dolly Dempsey and May Fox.
Tragically, Molly is the third child that the family has lost after the deaths of her brothers Roy (13) and Killian (16). Molly will be laid to rest after requiem Mass in St Joseph’s Church, Baltinglass on Friday.
Now family friends are rallying to support the Dempsey family and have organised a GoFundMe page with the aim of raising €5,000 to assist them with funeral and other costs.
An introduction on the GoFundMe page said: ‘Molly was so energetic, she had the most wonderful personality and would light up the whole room. She loved and adored her niece and nephews. Molly lost her two brothers Roy and Killian and is now reunited with both of them. So today we would like everyone to come together and help this family at one of their most unfortunate times.’
