An Garda Siochana is calling on the public 5to support its Slow Down Day tomorrow – a nationwide 24hr initiative in partnership with Road Safety Authority Ireland. The day is aimed at promoting safer driving behaviour and to encourage all of society to work with us to help prevent road traffic collisions, and to ultimately keep communities safe.
“While we’re out each day detecting speeding and preventing other road traffic offences, we’re calling on you for your support of tomorrow’s Slow Down Day,” said Carlow gardaí.
“Our operation in place from 7am tomorrow morning will centre on high visibility speed enforcement activity across Ireland’s road network.
We’re not out to catch people, we’re out each day including tomorrow to improve driving behaviour in an effort to reduce the number of speed related collisions.
Please help us to spread the important, life-saving message of slowing down and driving safely”
