The CBS students check out the brewery in Oak Park
The CBS boys got a tour of Oak Park farm
SCIENCE and agricultural students from St Mary’s CBS, Carlow recently enjoyed an insightful visit to Oak Park farm and the National Centre for Brewing and Distilling. During the visit, they delved into the science behind barley production, explored the testing procedures for raw materials used in malting and distilling and were introduced to the BSc (Hons) degree programme in brewing and distilling at SETU Carlow. A special thanks goes out to John Spink, head of crops environment and land use, and Lisa Ryan from Teagasc for their valuable contributions.
