A CAR expert has revealed how a hidden switch in your car could save you in an emergency.
The tip involves a sneaky button hidden in the boot – and knowing it could save your life if you ever need to escape a car.

The tip was revealed by TikTok user huyameishuoche – a motorist who posts clips revealing hidden features in a vehicles.
The switch inside the boot allows someone to open the boot door from the inside – perfect if you were ever stuck inside your car and couldn’t open the other doors.
One film-like scenario where someone might need to escape out of the car boot is if the motor was submerged in water.
In that situation, the water pressure on the doors is too strong for them to be opened out.
Instead, those stuck inside the car can pull the back seat forward, crawl into the boot and press the switch.
Water will flood into the boot, but the person would then be able to swim out of the car as the boot would be open.
Some cars will also have a level to open the boot at the front of the car in the driver’s seatwell where the petrol tank opener also is.
Another tip that huyameishuoche reveals is how to change the angle of the rearview mirror.
At night, this could be crucial to a driver’s safety as it can deflect other drivers’ glaring lights from their eyes.
It would also allow them to see the traffic behind them easier.
Huyameishuoche also reveals how to adjust the height of the seat belt, move the sun visor to the window, and adjust the height of the steering wheel.
Some fans were shocked that drivers needed to be shown the tips.
One said: “Honestly if you don’t know these, just don’t drive.”
Another said: “bruh? Isn’t this basic knowledge.”
A third said: “Did noone learn this for their driving test?”
The tip, about the rear-view mirror, was also revealed by motorist Chequanxiaoqiao.
She revealed her own tips for hacks that most people don’t know about in their motor.
