Canterbury Bulldogs vs Wests Tigers results, round 9, Gold Coast Titans vs Melbourne Storm updates, North Queensland Cowboys vs Dolphins, latest news;

Sydney Roosters captain James Tedesco believes that teammate Angus Crichton is “definitely” ready to return to the State of Origin arena following his “outstanding” showing in the Roosters’ 40-18 win over the Broncos on Friday night.

He continued his stunning run of form this season against the Broncos, finishing the match with a double, seven tackle breaks and 13 hit-ups.

Asked about Crichton’s Origin prospects post-match, Tedesco was in awe of the 28-year-old.

“Definitely, the way he’s been playing,” Tedesco told media.

“I haven’t been watching many other back rowers, but the way he’s been playing, he’s definitely been one of our best.

“He’s been one of our best for a couple of weeks, so he’s definitely found some consistency.

“He’s just hard to tackle. He’s proved that the last couple of weeks, just running hard.”

Crichton had a slow start to 2024 — left out the side to start the season before joining the bench from round three.

“He came in and had a really good pre-season. He didn’t start round one, so he’s worked his way back into the starting team and just been one of our best the last couple of weeks,” Tedesco said.

“I know he’s going to keep working hard. It’s really good to see him playing some good footy at the moment.”

The second-rower played under new Blues coach Michael Maguire during his time at the Rabbitohs between 2016 to 2018.
