“I’m working to deliver [Canelo], but it will be a big fight for Crawford,” Alalshikh expressed, hinting at negotiations underway. Former two-weight undisputed champion Crawford is currently focused on his upcoming bout against WBA super-welterweight champion Israil Madrimov on August 3 in Los Angeles, with a potential showdown against Canelo on the horizon pending victory.
“You got two of the top fighters of this decade,” Crawford remarked on the prospective match, highlighting the magnitude of the potential showdown. “You got the No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter in the world and you got the No. 1 money man.”
