Andorra la VellaThe Government has approved this Thursday, at the proposal of the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Mònica Bonell, the awarding of cultural subsidies for projects to be developed in 2024. The aim of the aid package is to allow to the cultural fabric of the country to promote and undertake projects during this year to continue dynamizing the sector. The total budget granted was 200,000 euros.
Once the application submission period has closed, a total of 96 requests have been received, of which 76 have been evaluated (79% of the total submitted), including aid for literary creation, and 20 have been rejected by the technical committee for various reasons (lack of completed required documentation or not being able to ensure the economic viability of the project, among others). The figures continue to show a high level of competition and projects presented, with an increase in the number of projects presented compared to last year, which were 91.
The grants awarded by the Cultural Action Area of the Department of Cultural Promotion of the Ministry have followed the technical criteria set out in the terms of reference and are distributed as follows according to modalities:
-26 for artistic projects of creation, production, exhibition and dissemination in the field of performing arts and music.
-16 for artistic projects of creation, production, exhibition and dissemination in the field of plastic and visual arts.
-16 for literary activities and publishing projects, and support for literary creation.
-3 for cultural dissemination projects and activities related to popular and traditional culture.
-7 for cultural projects promoted by the private media.
-1 for translation projects of Andorran works into other languages.
-7 for the external promotion of the visual arts and the performing arts.
