The award-winning documentary project offers viewers an insight into a group of four and five year olds in a classroom setting.

Under the watchful eye of scientists and psychologists, they play, learn and interact with other children.

In order to take part in the upcoming series, children must be no older than four or five years old at the time of filming in June.

The parents and children would be needed for a weekend in June, as well as up to a week of filming during the summer holidays.

More details are to be announced in due course, although applications to participate are currently open.

It comes as Channel 4 has reportedly halted production on a hit reality show format, which began almost a decade ago.

Long-running series Hunted sees a group of contestants (‘Fugitives’) attempt to evade capture from ‘Hunters’, comprising police and intelligence personnel.

Broadcast reported the delay in commissioning the series is due to Channel 4 prolonging the show’s stay on the shelf and commissioning cycles falling out-of-sync with transmission.

This means no new series will film this year, although the most recent series finished airing in April.

A celebrity series has also been filmed, featuring the likes of Danielle Harold, Giovanni Pernice and Duncan James.

No release date has been announced as of yet.
