Each duo to win the AEW tag titles hopes to make an impact and add to their careers with legacy-defining title reigns. Some teams have done that to prove why they are among the greatest at their craft, but others had lackluster stints. Every AEW Tag Team Championship reign will be ranked based on their length, along with a glimpse at how each reign went.

AEW had Allin and Sting dethrone Ricky Starks and Big Bill to become the tag champs for Sting’s final month. A successful defense over the Young Bucks saw them retaining and vacating the belts since Sting was retiring.
