AEW Signs Notable Women’s Indie Star

AEW has reportedly added another top independent star to its roster recently, with Tony Khan continuing to bolster his options following the recent additions of Will Ospreay, Kazuchika Okada, and Mercedes Mone.

One of the big criticisms of AEW from its inception has been how the women’s division has been handled, but that’s something Khan has been placing a lot more attention on as of late. Whether it’s through Toni Storm’s push, the signing of Mone, or Willow Nightingale getting more opportunities it’s clear that AEW is working hard to improve this situation.

That is only going to continue with AEW’s latest signing. According to Fightful Select, the company has secured the signature of top independent star Kamille. The former NWA wrestler has been a free agent since January 1 when her previous contract came to an end, and people have been speaking about what she would do next ever since.

There had been rumors of Kamille signing with WWE to be part of the WWE NXT roster, but she’s instead decided to become All Elite. Kamille had got fans talking back in February when claiming she’d signed somwhere, but that was then deleted. She has been giving subtle teases about her future destination in recent months on social media, and now it appears the question of what’s next for her has been answered.

What Has Kamille Achieved So Far?

While nothing has been officially announced by AEW at this point, the company will certainly be gaining a highly-touted performer if the report is accurate. AEW fans might be familiar with her work because Kamille has appeared on AEW television before to hype up an NWA World Women’s Championship match against Leyla Hirsch.
