At least three people have been slightly poisoned after a fire which originated tonight in a community garage in an urbanization of semi-detached houses in Fernando Guerrero street in San Sebastián de los Reyesas reported by Emergencies 112 Community of Madrid.
The neighbors have been treated by SUMMA 112 and have been discharged at the scene. Some 75 homes have been evacuatedsince the smoke had leaked into several of the chalets, and the Police have temporarily taken the residents to the town’s Civic Center.
Inside the chalet were two vehicles burning, one of them hybrid. Eight crews from the Community of Madrid Firefighters controlled the fire around 5:30 a.m., while the homes continue to be checked one by one so that residents can return.
The garage, which will be reviewed this Wednesday by the municipal architect, has temporarily closed and significant damage has been reported to the facilities in the fire area, such as downspouts, electricity and water.
