The repeated files opened by the authorities to the Grada d’Animació of the Barça have led to Joan Laportapresident of the club, to demand that the clubs that comprise it pay an amount of 21,000 euros accumulated in sanctions. The leader of the culé board, dissatisfied with the role of this sector, has also included a period of 15 business days to complete said payment and has even threatened to close it.
This has been known from a letter sent by the club this Tuesday to the leaders of the four designated clubs (Almogàvers, Front 532, Nostra Ensenya and Supporters Barça), groups that total 591 seats in the ‘north goal’ zone of the Montjuic Stadium and that accumulate numerous sanctions.
In the letter, the club demands payment of those 21,000 eurostotal figure resulting from the sums of sanctions from UEFA, LaLiga and the Generalitat for undisciplined behavior. For payment, the club has distributed the total amount as a percentage to the number of members of each group and has established a period of 15 business days.
This payment has been requested once the club has already paid the money to the corresponding authorities and after taking advantage of one of the clauses established in the agreement signed at the time of the founding of the Grada d’Animación. Of course, it is unknown what type of sanction will be carried out by the club if it is not completed before the limit.
Perhaps, the punishment for a possible non-payment is in line with that specified in the club’s statements collected by the Catalan newspaper The Newspaper: “If they open a file against us for the derby against Espanyol next Sunday in Montjuïc, said stands will be disabled for the next match. And we will ask them to pay the fine,” they warn from the entity.
Laporta, upset with the role of that sector
Regarding the stands, Joan Laporta has on his hands a problem inherited from the previous board that has already brought him many problems in the past. It should be remembered that he already received severe threats for years after the expulsion of the radicals of the old Camp Nou and that the current entertainment stand was created under the mandate of Bartomeu… This whole situation also coincides with the imminent move of the culés to the partially renovated Spotify Camp Nou. It remains to be seen if the Grada d’Animació reaches there as it now exists in the Montjuic Stadium.
