Around 11 p.m. Sunday, troopers responded to reports of a hit-and-run crash on U.S. 36 near Longhorn Road, less than five miles north of Boulder, State Patrol officials said in a news release.
The driver of a white truck — believed to be either a GMC Sierra or Chevrolet Silverado — hit and killed a 75-year-old pedestrian who was walking down the middle of the highway before fleeing the scene, officials said in the release.
State Patrol officials said the truck was driving northbound on U.S. 36, away from Boulder, when the crash happened. The driver has not been identified.
According to dash-camera footage provided by the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, the truck had a chrome front bumper, a black grill and black wheels, State Patrol officials said. The front, driver’s side bumper, grill and fog lights were damaged in the crash.
