Snow will continue to fall across the Rocky Mountains this weekend, depositing one or two inches after a storm system brought winter weather to Colorado’s high country Friday.
The National Weather Service forecasts snow showers for areas south of Interstate 70 through mid-day Saturday and warned drivers to prepare for wintry conditions in mountain passes.
Patchy fog is possible south of Denver along Interstate 25 this morning, and isolated rain showers could occur along the Palmer Divide and in Lincoln County this afternoon.
Denver’s Saturday forecast includes a 20% chance of rain before 10 a.m., after which the weather will be mostly cloudy with a high of 58 and an overnight low of 44.
Light snow was projected to continue at higher elevations Sunday through Monday, with showers and thunder possible west of I-25 and south of I-70.
Rain is also possible Monday in Denver, before the weather warms heading into next week.
