National Police agents have arrested Cordova to two members of the Barrio 18 Gang for their alleged participation in a crime of attempted homicide in what is the third operation against this criminal gang. One of the detainees is the material author of the crime, while the other would be as a cooperator necessary, having contributed decisively to attracting the victim to the scene of the attack.
The investigation began last September after the assault suffered by a young man. The investigators were able to find out that those arrested had hatched a plan with the aim of deceiving the victim into will be left alone in a home with the material perpetrator of the act, then the attack with a knife and subsequent chase occurred, which caused the victim to receive surgical treatment and hospitalization.
According to the investigators, the attack would be motivated by the erroneous perception, on the part of the alleged perpetrators, of the victim’s membership in the Mara Salvatrucha or MS13, the detained being militants of the Barrio 18 Gang, a rival gang, as reported by the National Police in a note.
The investigation carried out by the Territorial Information Unit of Córdoba has been coordinated by the General Information Commissioner’s Office and directed by the Investigative Court number 4 of Córdoba. Last Monday it was established the police device which culminated in the arrest of these two people, with the judge decreeing the imprisonment of the perpetrator of the crime.
