Redcar betting tips

3.35: Flight Of Angels 7/2 (1pt)

There’s no surprise to see Forceful Speed drift out from a fairly unbackable price of around 6/4 this morning out to as high as 9/4.

And Flight Of Angels has to take up the tip given her consistency this season and potentially still being well handicapped despite successive close calls.

The filly is given 9lb from Forceful Speed and the weight allowance should come in handy once more this time out as it did two starts ago at Epsom when she finished just a head behind the winner in third place.

Uttoxeter betting tips

3.45: Dieu Vivant 11/1 each-way (1pt)

Jesuitique made a very nice debut over fences at Bangor last month placing second behind Pull Again Green.

But will have to really pull out a huge run to finish ahead of some of these experienced chasers.

Purely for the value Dieu Vivant looks a solid chance each-way at 11/1, given his return to handicap chasing after featuring in hunters’ chases earlier on this year, and won by 13l to Quid Pro Quo.

Any News was joint favourite last time out in a Class 3 Novice contest despite never having won over fences before after 11 attempts but made all. A 6lb rise in the weights looks a little much back over 3m at a fairly short price, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him put in a place effort at least.

4.55: Sacchoandvanzetti 10/3 (1pt)

This gelding looks well handicapped still after a close second in July and another decent second place behind Presenting Pete over course and distance close to three weeks ago.

Trainer Fergal O’Brien has been enjoying plenty of winners recently with great running to form stats, and with 7lb claimer Daire Davis on board has all the chances to put his head in front on his third start for the yard.

The gelding was previously in Ireland with John Queally and has stepped into handicap company well posting a solid effort at Southwell ahead of Allbetsoff who has since gone on to win handily at Hexham.

Last time out he was giving away 9lb to the winner and reappearing rival Presenting Pete, but with the help of the claimer is actually now given 3lb himself. From that run, even just on paper, looks a danger at the same mark.

Listowel betting tips

4.25: Old Faithful 11/4 (2pts)

Hard to ignore this colt’s debut behind subsequent Group 2 winner Diego Velazquez.

Then on his second start he had plenty of excuses to lose but still finished three lengths off the winner in third and that could realistically point to a big win at a very nice price if running efficiently this time.

Oisin Murphy booked to ride is an interesting one and with his 18% strike-rate it can only be a good thing.

He’s drifted in the market this morning but it’s possible punters are reading into that inexperienced run too much, while he also didn’t get a clear run in.

P+L since 10/07/23: +72.49pts
