Traveling on EMT buses will once again be free in Madrid for Black Friday

The buses of the Municipal Transport Company (EMT) from Madrid also join the Black Fridayand will offer their services free throughout the day on November 29. This was announced by the mayor of the capital, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, who stressed that this measure will apply to tickets for all lines.

But it is not the first time that Madrid EMT travelers travel for free during Black Friday. Last year, more than 1.7 million users They used the free buses, 14% more than in 2022, when this measure was also promoted for the last Friday of the month.

On the other hand, this pre-Christmas shopping day can now be enjoyed with the city streets decked out with Christmas lights, since the lighting will take place on Thursday of the 7,100 chains, 121 cherry trees and a dozen large luminous fir trees that will decorate Madrid during these holidays.
