The judge of the Court of Instruction number 3 of the capital of Lugo has decreed the release of teacher of the CEIP Albeiros of lugo investigated for alleged sexual assaults to at least eight of his students.

As reported by judicial sources, the judge explains in the order that, after receiving the pending expert reports on the credibility of the minors’ testimony, “does not appear justified the maintenance of the initially agreed precautionary measure of provisional detention”.

In the resolution, it points out that the risk of flight “does not now meet the required intensity” due to the “less consistency of the indicative support of criminality.” He also emphasizes that “there is no risk of alterationconcealment or destruction of sources of evidence” and highlights that “the integrity of the alleged victims is sufficiently safeguarded with the precautionary measures imposed that are left in force for the moment.” The order is not final, since an appeal for reform and/or appeal can be filed against it.
