They ask for three years in prison for a nurse for accessing a patient’s history six times without permission

The Prosecutor’s Office Seville asks for three and a half years in prison and six years of absolute disqualification for a health professional for an alleged crime of discovery and disclosure of secrets by allegedly accessing six times to a patient’s medical history “without their knowledge or consent.”

According to the indictment of the Prosecutor’s Office, the accused, with no criminal record, worked between 2016 and 2018 at the Our Lady of the Castle of Lebrija health center as a primary care nurse case manager.

In this framework, according to the document from the Public Ministry, this professional, “doing a misuse of his capacity to access the medical history of users”, was entered into the medical history of a man, supposedly “without his knowledge or consent” on February 24, 2016, March 14 of that year, October 26, same, on June 3, 2017, on the 30th of that same month in 2017 and on March 1, 2018.

The Prosecutor’s Office classifies the facts as an alleged crime of discovery and revelation of secretsdemanding for the accused three and a half years in prison, six years of absolute disqualification and the payment of a fine of 5,280 euros.

This, in view of the trial brought against this health professional in the First Section of the Seville Court, which plans to hold the seen on the 10th of this month.
