Andorra la VellaThe municipality of Andorra la Vella approved this Tuesday a budget for 2025 which is “the highest” of the corporation “in its history” as highlighted by the Minister of Finance, Joaquim Miró, who detailed that it will reach 56.4 million euros with 11 million euros of real investments. The Consul Major, Sergi González, has claimed that this is a budget that is characterized by “listening, responding to needs and projecting a new future” and also allows the corporation to “anticipate the new challenges” of the parish Thus, he emphasized that it responds “to the current needs and the challenges of the future” and that it broadly puts “people at the center of the priorities”. As highlighted lines, he has defended doubling the amount for the Reviu program, which now has 300,000 euros; the 150,000 euros for social aid in the matter of housing or the investments in important projects in the parish such as the 2.4 million allocated to the remodeling of Plaça del Poble. The opposition abstained in the vote, since, as David Astrié has highlighted, “even though there are projects in the budget” that they share, such as the remodeling of Plaça del Poble, the renovation of the pavement of the river promenade or the adequacy of the wells in the communal stadium to pump water there are aspects such as housing in which they have doubts.
