The General Council deposits in Book I of acts and old documents in the Cabinet of the 7 Keys

Andorra la VellaThe Cabinet of the 7 Keys has been in custody since last Friday, December 20, coinciding with the traditional session of Sant Tomàs, the digital copies of the transcription of the previous documents and Book I of the acts of the General Council.

The transcriptions, which can also be consulted online on the conselgeneral.ad website, cover all previous documents (1 document from the 13th century in 1289, 13 from the 14th century, 31 from the 15th century and 27 more from the 16th century) and Book I of Acts (1529-1639) which, once transcribed, takes up 277 pages.

The senior councilors of each of the parishes were in charge of opening the Cabinet of the 7 Keys to deposit the memory sticks. Specifically, they did it Jordi Jordana (Canillo), Maria Martisella (Encamp), Berna Coma (Ordino), Carles Naudi d’Areny-Plandolit (la Massana), Víctor Pintos (Andorra la Vella), Pol Bartolomé (Sant Julià de Lòria) and Marc Magallon (Escaldes-Engordany).

The intention of the Syndicature is that as progress is made in the transcription of the handwritten acts, they will be deposited in the Cabinet of the 7 Keys, in this way, it is planned that throughout the next year 2025 they can be completed books II and III which cover a period of more than a century, from 1640 to 1744.
