Andorra la VellaThe Department of Statistics has presented the report “Gender Statistics 2023”, which analyzes the differences and advances between men and women in key aspects such as wages, employment, education, among others. This document makes it possible to detect both the achievements and the pending challenges in the fight for gender equality in the Principality.
The gap in average wages
Andorra’s gender statistics report for 2023 highlights an increase in average wages for men and women, although a significant gap in declared wages persists. The average annual salary for men was 2,703 euros (5% more than in 2022), while for women it was 2,158 euros (7% more than the previous year). This means a difference of 546 euros in favor of men. In the last five years, men have received an average of 2,508 euros, compared to 1,974 for women.
