One more year, the magazine Forbes has published the prestigious list of 100 wealthiest Spaniards in the country. In this ranking there are already well-known names, while others sneak into this renowned group for the first time. It is also striking that in the last year the wealth of these hundred personalities has increased by 27.7%.
Among the communities that have the most members is Madrid. The capital is the territory with the most fortunes, with a total of 30, thanks to a wealth that amounts to 41.4 billion euros after registering a growth of 7.39% in the last year.
At the top of the list it repeats, for the tenth consecutive year, Amancio Ortega. The leader of the textile giant Inditex has generated 38.4 billion euros more than in 2023, thus reaching a wealth of 120.2 billion. Just behind him, in second position, appears the second largest shareholder of Inditex and Ortega’s daughter, Sandra Ortega, with a fortune of 10.4 billion euros.
The richest Madrid residents
The podium is occupied by the first Madrid native in the ranking, Rafael del Pino. He president and first shareholder of Ferrovial has increased its assets by 1,200 million euros, reaching 7,100 million, after having moved the tax headquarters of its company to Amsterdam (Netherlands).
Later, at number 7, appears his sister, María del Pino. Currently, it is the second largest shareholder of Ferrovial, so it has accumulated wealth of 3.2 billion euros700 more than the previous year. In eleventh place is Florentino Perezpresident of Real Madrid and the infrastructure company ACS. Thanks to your 2.7 billion has gone from 17th to 11th place.
