Subscriptions to fixed telephony services are increasing

Andorra la VellaThe subscriptions per service during the month of October were 52,906 subscribers to fixed telephony services, 122,251 subscribers to mobile telephony services and 43,514 subscribers to broadband internet. These data, as published this Monday by the Department of Statistics, represent a positive percentage change of 2.9% compared to the month of October of the previous year in fixed telephony and of 1.1% in mobile telephony. Regarding broadband internet subscribers, there is also a positive percentage change, of 5.4%, with respect to the same month of the previous year.

From January to October 2024, compared to the same period of the previous year, both fixed telephony, mobile telephony and broadband internet have positive percentage variations of 2.5%, 3.5% and 5.7%, respectively.

The average data for the last twelve months stands at 52,301 subscribers for fixed telephony, that is to say, a positive percentage change of 2.4% compared to the same previous period. As for mobile telephony, there are 122,430 subscribers, reflecting a positive percentage change of 4.7%. Finally, broadband internet stands at 43,046 subscribers, showing a positive percentage change of 5.1%.

On the other hand, telephone traffic in minutes without internet during the month of October was set at 12.64 million, which represents a negative percentage variation of 3.4% compared to the same month of the previous year. Regarding national traffic, it was 8.82 million minutes (69.8% of the total and equivalent to -3% compared to the previous year), while international traffic was 3.82 million of minutes (30.2% of the total and -4.3% compared to the previous year).

Internet traffic in GB during the month of October was 12.82 million GB, which represents a positive percentage change of 11.6% compared to the same month of the previous year.

In general terms, there is a clear decrease in the use of both national and international voice telephone traffic, which translates into a constant increase in the use of the internet and, very prominently, mobile traffic.
