The general secretary of CKD, Marta Rovirarevealed this Tuesday morning that the deputy in Congress Carlos Floriano, of the People’s Partysought support from the independence party “to form a majority” at the investiture of Alberto Núñez Feijóo.
In an interview given this morning on SER Catalunya, the number two said that the ‘popular’ spoke to the deputy Teresa Jordà: “He proposed to negotiate, that we would talk, that they wanted to form a majority. We answered no, that we do not negotiate with the PP. That there was only the possibility of forming a bloc, the democratic bloc,” he added.
Rovira’s revelations add to the information about the PP contacts with Junts in which he studied for 24 hours the legality of the amnesty law, before discarding it, and the controversy over the alleged willingness of Núñez Feijóo to a conditional pardon to former Catalan president Carles Puigdemont.
In this regard, Rovira has assured that ERC wants to “explain with transparency the political relationships” it maintains, and that “What Junts does must be explained by Junts.”
