He PP and Vox have broken their government pact in the Burgos City Council after the formation of Santiago Abascal has voted against the 2025 budget by including the popular aid to NGOs that host migrants and that Vox rejects.
Neither of the two parties has moved from their positions and the mayor, Cristina Ayala will expel the four Vox councilors from the Government team and the PP will continue to govern alone. Rejects the PSOE offer
Vox spokesperson, Fernando Martínez Acitores, accused Ayala of causing “hard blows” to the group. “They have kicked us out, they are expelling us,” he stated, according to Diario de Burgos. For his part, the socialist spokesperson, Daniel de la Rosa, accused the mayor of “causing the biggest crisis in the history of this City Council” and he regretted that he did not accept the outstretched hand of the formation.
