A Perth motorist has revealed their whopping parking bill.
Taking to Reddit, the driver posted an image with the caption: “The cost of parking in the city these days.”
The picture is of a parking meter displaying a $430 fee.
One person quipped:” How drunk did you get to forget where you parked for that long?”
One user noticed the date on the parking meter
“Based on the date, you’ve been parked there for a month:” they wrote.
In the top right of the screen, the date 17/2/23 can be seen.
Another person offered their advice: “Normally you can get discounted if you pay for a month upfront which is probably what OP original poster) should have done.”
The image struck a chord with others.
“F*** paid parking and the whole parking meter thing,” they said.
The $430 price tag works out to be roughly $15 for parking per day, or 64 cents per hour — which actually sounds quite reasonable.
