The Roosters have received a major boost ahead of their round three blockbuster against the Rabbitohs, with Brandon Smith seemingly set to play.
According to NRL.com, scans cleared their gun signing of any rib damage, after he played just 24 minutes last week due to an injury from an awkward tackle on Warriors centre Marcelo Montoya.
Smith would later tell the ABC he was “not good”.
“I can’t remember the last time I played a damn game and didn’t come off injured,” he said.
Coach Trent Robinson revealed Smith hadn’t been able to complete a full portion of training earlier in the week.
“He trained a bit the other night, but he hasn’t done a full session yet so we’ll find out more today through physio and through the session,” Robinson said.
“It’s more muscular. We thought it was a rib, but it’s more muscular than that.”
Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Victor Radley are both also set to return.
