Nostradamus’ mysterious prophecy about the city of León

Michel of Notre-Dameusually Latinized as Nostradamus, was a 16th-century French apothecary and supposed fortune teller, best known for his book Les Prophéties (in Spanish, The Prophecies), a collection of 942 poetic quatrains that supposedly predict future events.

Although many of his predictions have turned out to be false or unclear, there are those who believe that they come true. So far, some of his predictions have come true: the assassination of kennedythe rise of Adolf Hitler or the attack on the Twin Towers.

There is also room for Spain among its lines. Nostradamus spoke about several cities in the country in his poetic quatrains, published by the French esotericist in 1555.

Nostradamus’ mysterious prophecy about the city of León

One of these quatrains, specifically the LXXIII of the first century, refers to the city of Leon, which he also puts in the same sentence as Barcelona and Seville.

“France has five parts besieged by negligence, Tunisia, Argal attacked by Persians: León, Seville, Barcelona fall“He will not have the fleet for the Venetians,” says the mysterious verse.

Some experts on the famous French author believe that the quatrain may refer to some kind of war conflict that could affect Spain and in which countries such as France, Tunisia or Iran (because of the Persians) are involved.
