Here are some nuggets from Mets’ spring training on Thursday:
Locastro shows
Tim Locastro, who was a bench player for the Yankees the past two seasons, reached base twice, with a single and walk, in the Mets’ 3-0 exhibition loss to the Nationals in West Palm Beach, Fla.
The speedy Locastro is 12-for-33 (.364) this spring with six stolen bases.

Hernandez scuffles
Elieser Hernandez didn’t help his cause in trying to win a bullpen job, allowing two earned runs on four hits and two walks over two innings.
The right-hander owns an 8.31 ERA this spring.
Caught my eye
Jimmy Yacabonis had a sixth straight scoreless outing to begin the exhibition season.
The right-handed reliever is in camp on a minor league contract after spending last season with the Rays.
Friday’s schedule
Carlos Carrasco is scheduled to face the Marlins in Port St. Lucie.
