Architect and founding partner of Douglas Wallace Consultants, Hugh Wallace, award-winning architect Amanda Bone and award-winning interior designer Sara Cosgrove will be all back in action to peak inside 21 gorgeous homes located all across Ireland.

Since the series first aired in 2015, it has celebrated homeowners’ creativity and individuality with smart designs and inspiring interiors.

This season will feature re-imagined semi-detached homes, renovation projects, architectural homes, restored period homes and new builds in Antrim, Clare, Cork, Derry, Dublin, Galway, Kildare, Louth, Mayo, Offaly, Waterford and Wicklow.

Looking for individuality, functionality and clever design, the three judges will each score the homes out of 10 and the home with the highest combined score in each programme will go through to the final in April, where the winner will be crowned.

And celebrity architect Hugh, who’s been on the show for ten seasons, can hardly contain his excitement.

The 67-year-old has said: “Two hundred and ten delicious homes visited over a decade and my heart still flutters with excitement to walk through the hall door and get inspired. Love it!”

Design expert Sara said: “Delighted to be part of series 10 of Home of the Year.

“I loved travelling the country with my fellow judges, seeing the diversity of design and home styles.”

Judge Amanda added: “I believe a home is a reflection of the homeowner and a source of well-being, so it’s fascinating discovering what people enjoy and how they express and see themselves.”

The series airs on Tuesdays at 8.30pm on RTE One and RTE Player starting from February 20.

RTE One announced the news of Home Of The Year’s return on Instagram this morning and sent fans into a frenzy.

Cliona commented: “Can’t wait! Hard to believe it’s a year since we were on it!”

Another fan said: “Can’t wait to tune in.”

Another wrote: “Looking forward to the show as always.”

A fourth added: “I’m so excited.”

The show is replacing Inside Penneys, which is a six-part series which documented the behind the scenes decisions of Ireland‘s most beloved brand, Penneys.

The season finale airs tonight at 8.30pm on RTE One.
