The bad weather will continue for another week. According to State Meteorological Agency (Aemet)a new isolated depression at high levels of the atmosphere (DANA) has caused heavy showers in several parts of the country this Tuesday and will continue to do so this Wednesday. Starting on Thursday, it will be another storm that will leave rain from west to east, rainfall that will tend to decrease starting on Friday.
This was explained by Rubén del Campo, spokesperson for the Aemet, who already assured this Monday that the stormy showers caused by this depression will be especially strong and persistent during the afternoon and evening of Tuesday in the eastern peninsula and Balearics. In addition, they will also arrive in the form of hail.
For this reason, Aemet has activated yellow warnings for heavy rain in much of the Valencian Communitythe Murcia Regionthe southeast of Castilla la Mancha, Ibiza, Formentera and in the interior area of ​​​​the east of Andalusia.
During the early hours of Tuesday to Wednesday, the showers will even extend to other areas of the Mediterranean area. It will be a “mobile” DANA, which means that it will be integrated quickly throughout Wednesday.
On Wednesday, also rain
DANA will move east on Wednesday, which will create a favorable environment for the formation of new storms also in the east of the peninsula and in the Balearic Islands. The storms They will also be accompanied by hail in the eastern third of the peninsula, the Mediterranean coast and in the Balearic archipelago.
According to Aemet, the rains will be very strong and persistent in these areas, so extreme precautions are requested. precautions against possible floods from low areas or sudden flooding of watercourses that usually carry little water or are dry.
The west of the peninsula will have a calmer climate, although the organization assures that An Atlantic storm will approach Spain and that it will leave rain in Galicia.
This day the maximum temperatures will drop in much of the country and it will even be a cool day for the season in the interior of the peninsula. On the other hand, 25ºC will be reached in few areasand in some parts of the eastern interior the thermometers will remain between 5ºC and 10ºC below the normal values ​​for the time.
A storm will arrive on Thursday
On Thursday the DANA will move completely away from the Peninsula, although it could leave some early morning showers in Catalonia and the Balearic Islands. Even so, an Atlantic storm will arrive that will cross Spain from west to east and will leave rain in much of the country.
The rains They will be much more moderate this time. They will also be weak in the Mediterranean area and it is likely that they will not affect the southeast of the peninsula or the Balearic Islands.

Temperatures will rise this weekend

Temperatures will still be cool on Friday, but on Saturday and Sunday there will be a general rise in these values, which will be more pronounced in the north and will be characterized by temperatures more typical of this stage of the year.
In the Canary Islands, a regime of moderate trade winds will predominate, which will be more intense in exposed areas. In addition, there will be cloudy intervals in the eastern islands as well as in the north of the more mountainous islands with some weak drizzle in the latter area.
