Andorra la VellaImports during the month of October totaled a value of 169.31 million euros, which represents a percentage change of 7% less compared to October of the previous year. The items with the greatest positive percentage and absolute variation are food, with 8.8% more and miscellaneous with 6.9% more. The energy groups stand out with a negative percentage and absolute change, with 32.3% less, transport, with 12.6% less, drinks and tobacco, with 22.3% less and industrial, with 12.1% less, according to the data of the Department of Taxes and Borders, processed by the Department of Statistics.
During the first ten months of the year, the total of imports is 1,502.58 million euros, with a percentage change of 1.1% less compared to the same period of the previous year. The groups with a greater positive variation are transport (14.3% more), pharmacy-perfume (5.2%) and food (3.1%). Conversely, the items with a more prominent negative variation are energy (14.7% less), electronics (-14.3%), clothing and footwear (-8.6%), industrial (-4.5%) and various (-4%).
With regard to the accumulation of the last twelve months, imports have had a value of 1,828.41 million euros, which represents a negative percentage change of 1.7% with respect to the accumulation of the last twelve months of the previous period, in which imports in value were 1,860.49 million euros. Without the energy chapter, imports decrease by 0.3% compared to the previous year. The items transport (15.2%), food (3%) and pharmacy-perfume (3.8%) stand out with a positive percentage variation and greater absolute variation. Conversely, energy (16.3% less), clothing and footwear (-10.2%), electronics (-10.7%) and industrial (-6.6%) stand out with a negative variation.
On the other hand, exports during the month of October totaled 17.21 million euros, with a percentage change of 13% less compared to the previous period. The most prominent exported item with a positive percentage variation and a greater absolute variation is electronics with 12.5%. The transport item has a more prominent negative variation with 24.2% less.
In the first ten months of the year, total exports are 162.27 million euros, with a percentage change of 21.3% less than the same period of the previous year. Electronics items (3.2%) and food (174.6%) stand out with a positive value. On the other hand, the items with a more prominent negative absolute variation are miscellaneous (70.8% less), industrial (27% less) and clothing and footwear (9.1% less). Without taking into account the exceptional export of the miscellaneous heading of chapter 97 objects of art, collectibles or antiques in March 2023, the variation becomes 1.6% for this period.
Regarding the accumulated value of the last twelve months, exports have a value of 192.55 million euros, with a percentage change of -18.6% compared to the accumulated value of the last twelve months of the previous year . The items with a positive variation and greater absolute variation are food with 188.8% more, electronics, with 1.8% more and transport with 2.2%. Conversely, the items with a more prominent negative absolute variation are miscellaneous with 68.1%, industrial with 35.8% less and clothing and footwear with -8.4%. Without taking into account the exceptional export of the miscellaneous item of “chapter 97 objects of art, collectibles or antiques in March 2023, the variation is 1.2% more with respect to the accumulated of the previous period.
On the other hand, it should be noted that the import of fuels during the month of October was 15.33 million liters, which represents a positive percentage change of 12.8% compared to the month of October of the year previous Compared to September this year, the monthly variation is +34.9%.
From January to October 2024, the import of fuels was 130.81 million liters, which represents a percentage change of -0.4% compared to the same period in 2023.
In the last twelve months, the import of fuels has been 158.27 million liters, which represents a positive variation of 0.1% compared to the 158.16 million liters imported during the same previous period.
