Andorra la VellaThe Head of Government, Xavier Espot – accompanied by the Minister of Institutional Relations, Education and Universities, Ladislau Baró, and the Minister of Social Affairs and Civil Service, Trini Marín – visited the facilities of the Our Lady of Meritxell Private Foundation (FPNSM), in Santa Coloma, on the occasion of the traditional Christmas visit.
In this way, the head of government and the ministers were able to talk to the users of the FPNSM and tour the different spaces that the organization hosts, such as the Xeridell area or the Center de dia Neret. Precisely, during the visit Espot delivered the gift that is given to the Foundation for these dates, which this year was an ultrasound device that allows treatments linked to muscle injuries and chronic pain.
Throughout the visit, the president of the board of trustees of the Fundació Privada Nostra Senyora de Meritxell, Maria Pilar Díez, and the general director, Celine Mandicó, were present. The Secretary of State for Education and Universities, Josep Antón Bardina, and the Secretary of State for Social Affairs, Ester Cervós, also participated.
At the end of this visit, the Government representatives went to the socio-health center ‘El Cedre’. The delegation was joined by the Minister of Health, Helena Mas, and the Secretary of State for Health, Cristina Pérez. The members of the Executive were able to share a few moments with users of the residence. The representatives of the Andorran Health Care Service (SAAS) were also present: the director general, Meritxell Cosan; the welfare director, Marcos Guitérrez; the economic director and general resources, Luís Buendía; the director of nursing, Laura Bernada; and the care manager of Cedre, Sofia Cousillas.
