Espot participates in the XV Ibero-American Business Meeting in Cuenca

Andorra la VellaThe Minister of Foreign Affairs, Imma Tor, traveled to Ecuador for the celebration of the XXIX Ibero-American Summit, participated in the IV meeting of Ibero-American Ministers of Foreign Affairs. At the meeting prior to the Summit of Heads of State and Government, the aspects that will include the documents that will be approved by the Summit of Heads of State and Government were discussed.

Tor has celebrated that the Summit, which is entitled ‘Innovation, Inclusion and Sustainability in Iberoamerica’, gives continuity to the topics addressed during the Andorran Pro Tempore Secretariat. This year, the event highlights the commitment and work that must be developed multilaterally around the digital divide, gender equality, education, multilingualism and climate change.

The minister praised the work done at the VI meeting of National Coordinators and Cooperation Managers held in Cuenca and highlighted the Ibero-American cooperation projects, which translate into actions on the ground that improve the development and prosperity of the citizenship of the region. In this sense, he highlighted Andorra’s active participation in programs such as Global Citizenship for Sustainable Development and the Prevention and Elimination of Violence against Women.

Parallel to the official events, Tor has been able to hold different bilateral meetings with its counterparts present in the city of Cuenca, in order to share issues of common interest and strengthen collaboration in different areas.

Espot will participate in the closing ceremony of the XV Ibero-American Business Meeting

The Head of Government, Xavier Espot, traveled to Cuenca on the occasion of the celebration of the XXIX Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, participated this Thursday in the Meeting of the Ibero-American Disability Program, presided over by the King of Spain, Felipe VI, the president of Ecuador, Daniel Noboa, as well as other heads of state and government, and the vice-president of the ONCE Social Group, Alberto Duran, among others.

This same Thursday afternoon (night Andorran time) he will attend the closing ceremony of the XV Ibero-American Business Meeting, prior to the Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government. The president of the Andorran Business Confederation (CEA), Gerard Cadena, and its director, Iago Andreu, were present at the forum and took part in the two working days.

‘The elements of a future Ibero-America (Innovation, Inclusion, Sustainability and Employability)’ have been the focus of the XV Ibero-American Business Meeting, organized by the Ibero-American Business Council, the National Federation of Chambers of Industry of Ecuador and the Ibero-American General Secretariat.

This Thursday evening, Espot will participate in the opening ceremony of the XXIX Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government that will take place at the Pumapungo Museum in the city of Cuenca. The Head of Government has traveled to Ecuador with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Imma Tor, and the ambassador and National Coordinator for the Ibero-American Summit, Eva Descarrega.
