Eleven police officers receive training in surveillance from the Civil Guard

Andorra la VellaA total of eleven police officers from the Borders and Foreign Affairs Unit have recently completed a training in surveillance and monitoring that has been given in the country by three members of the Central Operative Unit of the Civil Guard, the UCO, an elite unit with a high level and great prestige in the fight against organized crime.

The course has been adapted to the reality and dimensions of the country and has mainly consisted of practical exercises on foot and in vehicles that have been carried out throughout the territory and with different approaches. The fact that the situations that the police can find themselves in vary, has allowed them to train in the various scenarios and use the techniques and equipment necessary to avoid being detected. The goal of the simulations was to get the best results based on the circumstances.

In addition to testing techniques and procedures, the training has also focused on the coordination of personnel and teamwork, which are essential for the effectiveness of interventions in this area.

This training, which had already been carried out on other occasions, has been able to develop thanks to the close relations maintained by the Andorran Police and the Civil Guard and is part of the existing collaboration between the two institutions .

The awarding of diplomas took place last Friday in the conference room of the central police office, at which time the Spanish trainers highlighted the professionalism and human quality of the Andorran officers.
