Carlow Nationalist — Cistercian College offer insight into school at Open Day

Excitement is building at Cistercian College, Roscrea (www.ccr.ie) as the Midlands-based secondary school offering day, 5 day and 7 day boarding hosts an ‘Open Evening and Overnight Experience’ for prospective students and their families, from 3pm on Friday 29 September.

The event has attracted widespread interest from across the country, with students considering enrolment for the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 academic years pre-registering online in advance. The new College President Colm Maloney,  is looking forward to welcoming families for a unique insight into daily life at one of Ireland’s leading secondary schools.

“For our upcoming ‘open evening experience’ event, along with overnight experience showcasing the evolution of boarding, we’re really looking forward to welcoming all interested students and their parents for a fantastic interactive viewing of the College, at a very exciting juncture in the life of the school. Cistercian College is a unique place to learn, develop and grow.

“ The evening will include a guided tour of our newly redeveloped facilities, led by our very proud current students, parents and staff. It will include group activities showcasing the college, as well as providing an evening meal and refreshments for all guests in the College refectory, in keeping with the rich tradition of Cistercian hospitality.”

Those students interested in boarding can avail of the overnight experience and immerse themselves in the life of a boarder at Cistercian College.
