The president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazónannounced this Thursday that the Valencian Government plans to approve next Tuesday a first decree of aid to those affected by DANA in the province of Valencia, with 250 million euros.
Mazón has specified that it will be complementary aid to that offered by other Administrationslike the Government of Spain, and will mean, for example, a minimum of 6,000 euros per affected person in “direct, express, without bureaucracy” aid to fix houses or buy furniture.
Another block of aid will be social aid “for dependents and highly vulnerable people” to cover, for example, relocations or changes of residence. This social section also provides assistance for free duplication of documents, free transportation cards for public transportation and psychological assistance for relatives of victims and anyone affected.
Furthermore, the president has announced that he has already spoken with the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyenso that the activation of the European Union solidarity fund. “The request is finalized. We will also request a special line of complementary aid,” he said.
Finally, he explained that for the purchase of furniture, appliances and the complete rehabilitation of the home he will promote tax deductions in personal income tax and the Valencian Institute of Finance will activate credit lines at 0%.
In this same call, the president of the Valencia Provincial Council, Vicent Mompó, has announced that this institution has decided to promote another aid package for 25 million euros.
