Andorra la VellaFor his part, Monica Bonell has highlighted the organization of Games of the Small States of Europe in Andorra in May 2025, as the most relevant milestone for next year in terms of sports. “We hope to receive around 1,200 athletes from nine different countries. The Andorran delegation will be large and will have between 150 and 200 athletes”, he pointed out.
At this point, the minister highlighted that there will be 12 different disciplines, distributed among the seven parishes. “The opening ceremony will be on May 26 and the closing on the 31st. In addition, the Carlemany Island race will be held on June 1 as a closure and involvement of citizens in this project”, he pointed out.
The ministry’s most prominent lines of action in cultural matters for 2025 are the relocation of the National Archives to the Ministry’s headquarters, located in the old Rosaleda Hotel, leaving almost all the ministry’s services centralized in Encamp.
Also, complete the nomination for UNESCO world heritage ‘The material evidence of the construction of the State of the Pyrenees: the co-principality of Andorra’, which will be presented to this body at the beginning of 2026. Linked to this candidacy, Bonell has assured that the Ministry plans to develop the environments for the protection of the goods that will be included during the next year.
