After the passage of the second DANA, which has once again affected the Mediterranean coast, with special intensity in Malagaa respite comes because meteorologists predict a general increase in temperatures in the next few hours.
This Thursday, DANA is moving westward across the Atlantic, although its effects are still noticeable in many parts of the peninsula. However, little by little, the cold is going to subside. “Temperatures will rise across the board because the storm will drive a softer air mass, with greater temperance being noted, especially in the south, east of the Peninsula and also in the Balearic Islands,” they say from Meteored.
According to their forecasts, the rise in temperatures will leave maximums between 5 and 6 degrees higher than those of this Wednesday: “In Madrid a maximum of 17 ºC will be reached and in several capitals the maximum temperature of 20 degrees will be exceededhighlighting the 22 ºC of Orense, apart from other locations located mainly in the Mediterranean area, where values of the same order will be reached.”
The rise in temperatures will continue this Friday and the weekend: “The isolated cold storm will remain southwest of the Peninsula and will favor the entry of a flow from the south, which will give rise to a not very intense haze episodeand will maintain temperatures above normal values for the time of year.”
Thus, Meteored predicts that this weekend it may exceed 25 degrees in the south of the peninsula: “Friday will be especially in the southwest where the thermal rise is most noticeablewith maximum temperatures in some capitals of Andalusia approaching 25 ºC. That value could be reached, and even surpassed, on Saturday. Looking ahead to Sunday, it will be mainly on the Mediterranean coast, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands, where temperatures will rise.”
