The National Police ha arrested a man while committing a robbery with force in a store in the Madrid district of Villa de Vallecas. This was the last of the 19 robberies attributed to him, all perpetrated to steal money from the cash registers and always using the same method to hide his identity: a black briefs to cover your face, and socks to cover their hands, as reported this Wednesday by the Madrid Police Headquarters.
The investigation began at the beginning of May, after a series of complaints about several robberies in premises in the Madrid district. In each case, employees found the fractured shop windows and the cash registers when they opened their stores in the morning.
According to the Police, the detainee he was an expert: He used a screwdriver to minimally lift the metal blinds of the premises and thus crawl inside to avoid being detected and to be able to act without raising suspicions. Once inside, he only stole the money, so as not to attract attention in the middle of the night with other bulky objects. In one case, a small box containing the workers’ tips was taken from a restaurant.
A black underwear to cover your face
His last robbery – which led to his capture – occurred at the end of October in a cafeteria. At the time of arrest, the man he left the premises still with his underwear on his facesocks in his hands and a black cap.
He is credited with 19 violent robberies in just five months, perpetrated mainly in Villa de Vallecas, but also in other southern districts such as Puente de Vallecas or Leganés, among others. Now, the detainee has been brought to justice as allegedly responsible for these crimes.
