Andorra la VellaThe director of the Banders corps, Ferran Teixidó, celebrated this Tuesday in the context of the feast of Sant Francesc d’Assís that took place in the corps barracks, that, since this year, the corps is already consolidated regarding vacancies.
However, Teixidó has admitted that, to work at an optimal level, the workplaces should be expanded, at least, with one or two more pairs of agents. An expansion that has already progressed that will not be possible until 2026 due to budget limitations and that, as he has stressed, should also take into account the female figure in its configuration.
“We notice the lack of women and we believe that they should be re-incorporated into the corps. We have drawn up the equality plan of the flag corps and we must ensure that these new jobs take the incorporation of women very much into account” commented Teixidó, who recalled that it has been twenty years since new jobs have been created within the department. “The jobs we did twenty years ago are not the same as we do now. The tasks have increased and, although technology and digitization help us a lot, we must take into account that, progressively, the workforce must grow” he added, the director of the corps.
