Machado asks Venezuelans to “do what is appropriate when the right moment arrives”

The opposition leader Maria Corina Machado This Monday he asked Venezuelans “do what is right when the right time comes”without giving more details about it, a call he makes after calling for a “huge protest” for December 1, within the framework of his complaint of “fraud” in the official result of the presidential elections, which gave re-election to Nicolás Ripe.

“Let’s all be attentive, alert, concentrated. Pay close attention to what is happening, to the signs that will appear and to the messages that I will be sending you these days,” Machado indicated through an audio on X.

Likewise, he stated that the “defeated regime tries to avoid the inevitable and uses brute force to do so”, but – he assured – “the popular and sovereign mandate” of the presidential elections of July 28 “is irreversible.”

“They know it. They know that their exit is getting closer every day and that it is impossible to stop this people when they rise up. They know very well that this town is rising now,” he said.

Machado pointed out that the Government “not even with its own abusive, corrupt, dirty rules” could “prevent their monumental defeat” in the presidential elections, whose official result was rejected in massive demonstrations that left, according to the Executive, more than 2,400 detainees, whom the Prosecutor’s Office accuses of causing “violence” and “vandalism.”

The largest anti-Chavista coalition, Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD), accuses Maduro of “repressing” to the opposition sector through the State security forces, while NGOs report that several people were detained despite not participating in the protests.

Although Maduro’s re-election has been criticized by the international community, mainly due to the lack of support to confirm his victory at the polls, all the institutions of the Caribbean country – including the Armed Forces – support the Chavista leader and see the PUD as coup plotters. who intend to take power by force.
