The Foundation ‘What Really Matters’ (LQDVI) returns to Madrid with the celebration of the 18th edition of its emblematic youth congress, which will take place on Wednesday, November 27 at the Palacio Vistalegre. Over there, more than 6,000 students from more than 50 centers educational institutions and youth associations in the capital will meet to experience a day of inspiration, learning and reflection on values such as self-improvement, commitment and solidarity.
This event, which already had its largest celebration in the same space in 2023, arrives in the capital framed in the catastrophe produced by DANA in Valenciawhere the Foundation had to cancel its previous congress. “We come to Madrid with the feeling that our visit has more intention and meaning than ever. Young people have proven to be the great hope of society“explains the general director of LQDVI, María Franco, in a statement.
The day will be inaugurated at 10:00 a.m. by the mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeidaand closed by Ana Dávila, Minister of Family, Youth and Social Affairs of the Community of Madrid. In addition, the singer Álvaro de Luna will offer a performance in which he will perform Our Song and will receive the Foundation’s 2024 ‘Something + Than a Song’ Award.
‘Brianeitor’, María Galán and Carlos Llibre will participate
The three speakers at the congress will be streamer Brian Albacete Oliver, Brianeitor, the adventure athlete Carlos Llibre and the activist Maria Galan. The latter is about an aid worker who left Spain at the age of 23 to found ‘Babies Uganda’, an NGO that works to improve the living conditions of children in critical situations in this country.
For its part, Brianeitor it’s a streamer and gamer who, despite suffering from degenerative muscle atrophy and limited mobility, has managed to become a world reference with millions of followers. In fact, his life has even been made into a film with the film ‘The Life of Brianeitor’.
As for the athlete Carlos LlibreSince the death of his twin brother Álex in 2017 and the discovery of a list he left written in his own handwriting with 101 things to do in life, Carlos has dedicated himself to making these dreams come true through ALL1, a movement made up of family, friends and other people passionate about life, adventure and sports like Álex who face the most ambitious challenges.

The registration to the event is free and can be done through the Foundation’s mobile application. For those who cannot attend in person, the conference will be available on-line from November 28 to December 5 in the LQDVI website.
To date, a total of more than 200 conferences have been held in 8 countries in Latin America, Europe and Asia, attended by more than 300,000 young people and which have registered more than half a million views via streaming and more than two million of online reproductions.
