Mònica Dòria joins the fight against sexist violence in the 25N

Andorra la VellaOn the occasion of November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, Acció Feminista d’Andorra has presented the campaign “You see that you don’t see”which gives visibility to anonymous witnesses of sexist violence. Olympic canoeist Mònica Dòria, Andorra’s first Olympic diploma holder, has joined the initiative by facing one of the stories, which denounces sexual violence in the workplace.

Dòria, recognized for her sporting career and passion for nature, has expressed her commitment to the campaign: “For me, it is a pride to be able to put my face in front of the stories of many women who have suffered gender violence. Give them a face and eyes, give them a voice. To make us all aware that this is still part of the everyday life of many women, and encourage us to act when necessary. Not one less.”

The testimony that Dòria represents addresses situations of non-consensual sexual violence, such as rape, inappropriate touching and insinuations in the work environment, emphasizing that this type of abuse often transcends the sphere of the couple.
