A 48-year-old man killed his wife this Sunday morning in the Sevillian town of Estepa and then he committed suicide, according to sources from the Local Police.
The events have happened around four in the morning in a home on Granada Street and it appears that both deaths were caused by a firearm. The mayor of the town has assured that the couple had two children, 11 and 17 years old, who lived at home with their parents.
The councilor has also confirmed that the victim had gone to the Women’s Information Center seeking counseling for alleged abuse.
As reported by the Seville newspaperthe judicial commission has ordered the removal of the corpses, who have been transferred to the Institute of Legal Medicine of Sevillewhere autopsies will be performed.
The Civil Guard has already taken over the case and investigates it as a possible crime of sexist violence.
